New funding is being allocated for California ranchers to help mitigate costs for wolves’ killing livestock as well as assisting with steps to prevent losses when wolves are in close proximity. Ranchers are facing increasing pressure to protect their livestock from vicious and often deadly attacks. This pilot program is in conjunction with state agencies, Rural County Representative of California, and various North State representatives. Senator Dahle’s office will be represented by Bruce Ross. The pilot program is in the initial phase of planning and updates will be provided as implementation nears.
