Congratulations to Pattie Bay, counselor at Sycamore Elementary School in Redding, for being named Shasta County Counselor of the Year. Schools throughout California report a rise in students’ emotional and behavioral challenges since the disruption of the pandemic. I can’t say enough good things about the people who work to help our kids grow up healthy.
