Friends and Neighbors,
The “Stay-at-home” order issued by the Governor on March 19, 2020 is an effort to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are, however, exceptions for Californians who need to buy groceries, pharmaceuticals, fuel and other essentials that are explained here.
And, of course, you are encouraged to get outside and walk/exercise for your physical as well as mental health, while keeping appropriate social distance from others.
In addition, certain industries and employees are deemed essential/critical to maintain continuity in operating California. Those and other resources can be found on my Coronavirus Resources website at https://sr01.senate.ca.gov/content/coronavirus-information
Since this is a rapidly evolving situation, essential services and other information will regularly be updated as it becomes available.
