The financial burden of constructing within California is significant, and all too often the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) has been exploited for non-environmental reasons. The implementation of a sound regulatory framework is critical and Senator Dahle praised the bill’s author. Influential powerbrokers are leveraging CEQA to further their interests at the expense of the public good. SB 1259 would help streamline construction projects in the state and provide greater transparency.
