Fred Salanti Memorial Resolution

My District Director, Bruce Ross, had the honor of presenting a Memorial Resolution from the California Assembly and Senate to the widow of Fred Salanti, at his memorial service at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo on Tuesday, April 16. Salanti bravely served his country as a young man in Vietnam.  Later in life, his passion was working for his fellow veterans, supporting services in Shasta County at the Redding CalVet home, and he took great pride in ensuring proper military burials for veterans whose remains had previously gone unclaimed through the Missing in America Project, which Salanti founded. He was a heroic man who lived a life of service.  My condolences to his family.
