Sen. Dahle stands with rural ranchers, supports CDFW's decision to euthanize deadly wolf pack

Today, Sen. Megan Dahle (R-Bieber) issued the following statement in support of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW) decision to euthanize a wolf pack to protect ranchers and livestock:

"The ranchers of the Sierra Valley have endured a summer no livestock owners should ever have to face, with a pack of wolves killing cattle more aggressively than ever seen in the United States, according to the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

"I appreciate the hard work this summer of the wardens who explored every possible way to haze wolves non-lethally, but the reality is the wolves just kept coming back.

"The decision to euthanize the Beyem Seyo pack was a tough one for wildlife officials, but it was the right one. Wolves' return to California cannot mean the wholesale destruction of ranchers."
