National Agriculture Day 2024

Created in 1973 by the Agricultural Council of America, the purpose of National Agriculture Day is to encourage Americans to understand more about how food is produced and how essential the agricultural industry is to our nation. California continues to be a leader in producing crops and feeding the world. Currently, over 400 commodities are grown in our state. We produce over one-third of the nation’s vegetables and almost three-quarters of the nation’s fruits and nuts. Let’s celebrate and thank the men and women in agriculture and those who work on the nearly 80,000 California farms and ranches.
